Photographer Information and Agreement
Dear Photographer:
We understand you are taking pictures for the __________________________
wedding. We look forward to working with you, and want you to be aware of our policies. Please
print and sign this agreement, then return it to
Church of the Epiphany

To avoid distractions
which take away from the wedding and the reverence of the worship service, photos may not be
taken during the ceremony (including during the procession into the church),
with the following exceptions:
- If the balcony is not being occupied by guests in the church, available light photography with a
quiet shutter is permitted by the official photographer only, from the balcony, or in any case from
the back of the church (behind the pews). Videotaping with a video camera may be done only
from the balcony or a stationary camera at the back of the church (behind the pews) or one the
side out of sight.
- Photographs by the official photographer are permitted in the church or chapel prior to the
ceremony no more than 90 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony
in keeping with the
following:
- The sacred character of the buildings will be respected. This includes no one standing within
the actual sanctuary area back of the altar rail (including the photographer). We also
recommend the garden and the Christie House library behind the church which provide a
lovely setting for photographs.
- All photographs will be completed and equipment removed at least forty minutes prior to the
beginning of the ceremony and no more than half an hour afterwards. Please provide your
own extension cord with three-prong adapter.
- As the wedding party leaves the altar at the end of the ceremony and processes down the
aisle, only you, as the official photographer, may take pictures from the narthex at the back of
the church or chapel.
- If, after the ceremony, the couple wishes to re-stage any part of it for the official
photographer, they may do so with the permission of the priest, up to a maximum of six
poses, again respecting the consecrated space as mentioned above.
- Failure to follow these guidelines may result in interruption of the ceremony and the
photographer ejected from the church.
I/We agree to the above guidelines, especially that no
flash photographs will be taken during the
ceremony, or towards the altar as the wedding parties process into the church.
Signed,
