Located in the Madrona neighborhood, Epiphany,
which was founded in 1907, is one of Seattle's oldest congregations.
Our Mission Statement
To manifest God's presence in our lives,
to renew our unity with God and each other in Jesus Christ.
To celebrate and glorify God in our diversity,
and to proclaim the Christian message of faith, hope and love.
|
What is uniquely Anglican/Episcopal?
As an Episcopal Church, Epiphany belongs to that worldwide body known as the Anglican Communion, which celebrates the "middle way" beween the Roman Catholic and Protestant traditions:
- Giving priority to Scripture
- Listening to Tradition, Reason and
personal experience of the Divine
- Keeping unity, while valuing diversity
- Distinguishing the essential from the nonessential
- Expressing all the above in worship
