The Reverend Rebecca Michelfelder, Interim Priest-in-Charge

Becky was born and raised in Ohio. She received her Bachelor's degree from Capital University in Columbus in the areas of Music and Christian Education. She received Master's degrees from the Lutheran School of Theology in Chicago and from the Church Divinity School of the Pacific in Berkeley. Becky was ordained a priest in the Diocese of Panama where she worked for two years as a missionary on behalf of the Episcopal Church.

Prior to and since her ordination, she has served in a variety of diverse churches of varying sizes, serving most recently as Interim Rector at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Delaware, Ohio. While in the Diocese of Southern Ohio, Becky served on the Standing Committee, the Liturgy and Music Commission, the National and World Mission Commission, the Episcopal Community Services Foundation, and the Hispanic Ministry Commission. She was also instrumental in organizing a regional conference on Appalachian Ministry in the Ohio, Kentucky, and West Virginia area called Mountain Grace.

Becky has long had a desire to live in the Northwest and she took the opportunity at the conclusion of her interim position to come to the Seattle area for a sabbatical. Her experience during this time confirmed within her a desire to remain in the Seattle area for some time. She is happy to be here and looks forward to her association with Epiphany.
