The Reverend Rebecca Michelfelder, Interim Priest-in-Charge
Becky was born and raised in Ohio. She received her Bachelor's degree from Capital
University in Columbus in the areas of Music and Christian Education. She received
Master's degrees from the Lutheran School of Theology in Chicago and from the Church
Divinity School of the Pacific in Berkeley. Becky was ordained a priest in the Diocese of
Panama where she worked for two years as a missionary on behalf of the Episcopal Church.
Prior to and since her ordination, she has served in a variety of diverse churches of
varying sizes, serving most recently as Interim Rector at St. Peter's Episcopal Church
in Delaware, Ohio. While in the Diocese of Southern Ohio, Becky served on the Standing
Committee, the Liturgy and Music Commission, the National and World Mission Commission, the
Episcopal Community Services Foundation, and the Hispanic Ministry Commission. She was also
instrumental in organizing a regional conference on Appalachian Ministry in the Ohio,
Kentucky, and West Virginia area called Mountain Grace.
Becky has long had a desire to live
in the Northwest and she took the opportunity at the conclusion of her interim position to
come to the Seattle area for a sabbatical. Her experience during this time confirmed within
her a desire to remain in the Seattle area for some time. She is happy to be here and
looks forward to her association with Epiphany.

The Reverend Daniel G Conklin, Associate
The Reverend Daniel G Conklin ("Father Dan") was
born in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, and raised in
Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Florida, graduating from the
Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Arts in 1965.
In May 1968 he graduated from the Philadelphia Divinity School
with a Master of Divinity cum honoribus, and was ordained a
priest on December 21, 1968, St. Thomas' Day.
Fr. Dan served the first two years of his ministry as
Curate of St. Paul's Church (Chestnut Hill), Philadelphia. For
two years he was a Fellow of the World Council of Churches
doing graduate theological work at the University of
Tübingen, Germany. Following these studies
Fr. Dan stayed on in Germany ministering in several different
capacities: teaching religious studies for four years, working
as Scholarship Secretary and Director of an Exchange Program
of the German Protestant Churches for seven years, and serving
as parish priest in the Old Catholic Church of Germany for ten
years (in Blumberg, Hannover and Hamburg). Fr. Dan returned to
the USA in 1994. Until 1997 Fr. Dan had dual ministerial
standing with the United Church of Christ and was ministering
to the German United Church of Christ, Seattle, as well as
assisting at Christ Church, Seattle. Several of
Fr. Dan's sermons have been published and he is a published
translator of theological works from German into English. He
will teach "Hebrew Scriptures" this year at the Diocesan
School of Theology in Seattle. At Epiphany Fr. Dan's
ministry has a particular emphasis on preparation for
the sacraments, pastoral care and Christian education.

Thomas Foster, Interim Director of Music
Thomas Foster
is a native of North Carolina and holds degrees in organ performance
from Syracuse University and the New England Conservatory of Music. From 1976 -
2003 he was Director of Music at All Saints' Episcopal Church, Beverly Hills,
California where the Choir came to prominence through its concert tours,
commissioned works, and four recordings for Gothic Records.
Mr. Foster has served as a faculty member of summer Episcopal church music
conferences throughout the US and has been a lecturer/conductor in numerous
dioceses as well as at Virginia Theological Seminary and the Institute of Sacred
Music at Yale University. He is a contributor to the Episcopal Hymnal 1982 and is
a past president of the Association of Anglican Musicians.
In 1999 Mr. Foster was made an honorary canon of the Cathedral Center of St. Paul
in the Diocese of Los Angeles.
Since 2003 Mr. Foster has served as interim musician at various Episcopal churches
throughout the country, including St. John's Cathedral, Albuquerque, Grace
Cathedral, San Francisco and most recently at St. Paul's Cathedral, Buffalo.
During that time, he has performed as organ recitalist in New York, Atlanta,
Detroit, Los Angeles, Chicago and Nashville.
He and his wife, Carol have made their home in Kirkland; Carol is currently
director of music at St. Augustine's in-the-Woods, Freeland, Whidbey Island.
