Sunday | April 28 | 10:00 am | Upper Room
The Reverend Doyt L. Conn, Jr.
Starting April 28, a four-session Adult Confirmation series will be offered at Epiphany. This series will be taught by the Rector during Everybody Hour. Confirmation is a sacramental rite in which a person confirms the promises that were made when they were baptized. If you were baptized as a child, your parents and godparents made these promises on your behalf. At a confirmation service, you make these promises for yourself. Friends and family as well as the local Epiphany community will be there to promise their support and their prayers for you. Adults who have been confirmed in another tradition or have returned to the church and would like to reaffirm their baptismal vows, are very welcome to join this series and be part of the sacrament.
Then on Sunday June 2, Bishop Greg Rickel will be at Epiphany to officiate during the confirmation service and will lay his hands on confirmands heads, asking God’s Holy Spirit to give the strength and commitment to live God’s way. Please contact Steve Clemons (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Elizabeth Walker (email@example.com) if you want to participate in this special series and sacrament.
