Advent Series – Immanuel, The Coming of Jesus in Art and the Bible

Advent Series – Immanuel, The Coming of Jesus in Art and the Bible | Wednesday | December 19  | 5:30 pm – 8:00 pm | Chapel and Christie Library

The vision of life that Advent gives us is twofold: it looks back to the first coming of Christ at Bethlehem, and it looks to the future when Christ will come again. In the interval between these two events, we find meaning for our life as a Christian.

This year during Advent, Epiphany will again offer a three-evening series that includes Evening Prayer in the chapel followed with a potluck meal and a discussion in Christie Library. For the discussion, we will be using Immanuel, The Coming of Jesus in Art and the Bible, by Hans-Ruedi Weber.

Led by Camille Hayward

Dates: Wednesdays December 5, 12 and 19

Where: Evening Prayer at 5:30 pm in the chapel; potluck and discussion at 6:00 pm in Christie House Library
