A former Epiphany staff singer/soloist, Catherine Webster, is performing with Pacific MusicWorks on Friday, November 7 at 8 pm at Benaroya’s Nordstrom Recital Hall. The program is entitled Songs of Love and War, and is the final book of secular madrigals by the late Italian Renaissance composer Monteverdi. Webster will be joined by five other singers, and a chamber ensemble, all lead by PMW’s Stephen Stubbs.
“Cassie” has developed an international reputation as a top interpreter of early music. She and husband/countertenor Matt White and their two daughters made Epiphany their parish home during the time Matt had a position with PMW and she sang with Epiphany Choir. They moved to Vancouver when Matt was offered a position of leadership in the Vancouver early music community. She sang several times at All Saints’ Beverly Hills while I was music director there.
