Naomi Woodrum was born in Kumamoto, Japan and was adopted by her missionary parents at nine months old. She spent the first 12 years of her life in various parts of Japan, attending public schools and getting to experience and learn the language and culture. Her father served as a Lutheran pastor in Japan for 21 years, and her mother worked for an adoption agency placing Japanese infants with families in the States. Naomi is the middle child of three and has two brothers.
Naomi attended Trinity Lutheran College in Issaquah, WA and received her BA in Christian Education in 2004. Since then, she has worked in Children and Youth Ministry positions in both Episcopal and Lutheran congregations. After serving in Oregon for nine years (collectively) she is ready to be “home” again in Washington!
Naomi has two boys, Mateo and Luca, and enjoys reading, drawing, singing, being outdoors and spending time with family and friends.
