Ruth Anne Garcia began working at Epiphany Parish on Advent 1, 2017.
Raised in Montana, Ruth Anne received her Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education from the Montana State University System. A life-long member of the Episcopal Church, Ruth Anne began her liturgical role in the church as an acolyte at age seven before receiving her Master of Divinity degree from the General Theological Seminary in New York City some years later. Raised in a small central Montana town, Ruth Anne has spent most of her ministry working in urban communities and helping fellow Christians navigate the complexities and opportunities that come with city life. She has served as an associate and priest-in charge in parishes in New York City, DC, and Northern Virginia; including Trinity Wall Street and St. Columba’s. Ruth Anne believes in the importance of the Church to both those who worship and pray together and the larger communities they serve.
Ruth Anne loves reading, writing, walking and biking. She is married to Jeremy Bacon, a jazz pianist, and they have a rather ancient rescue chihuahua of undetermined age named Phineas Newbone Jr.
