Everybody Hour is a time for Christian formation for ALL ages, and will happen between the 8:45 am and 11 am services in locations around campus from September – May. On the 2nd-5th Sundays of the month, Everybody Hour is the time for age-level classes for children, youth and adults.
Also, from October – May, all ages will gather together on the f first Sunday of the month for First Sunday Brunches. There will be no classes so that everybody in the parish can come together for brunch in the Great Hall. These brunches will be hosted by different ministry groups. First Sunday Brunches are a great time to hang out with people who go to a different service, as well as to learn more about what’s happening in the parish.
Why program like this?
First, we want children and youth to experience worship in church. Our previous model of having Sunday School during our 11 am service and Youth Group in the evening made it so children didn’t actually get to experience worship. Second, we want to give families more worship options—namely, not just at the 11 am service so children can go to Sunday School. Children and youth are welcome at all services. And third, we want to increase the number of people available to teach children, youth, and even adults. People who have been interested in working with children and youth, especially, now do not have to miss church to do so.
We see Everybody Hour as a rich time of learning and growing for parishioners of all ages at Epiphany!
