Small groups are the place where we step back and critically examine our spiritual journey. It is the space in our lives where pretenses and egos are left behind to enable our souls to grow. The hope for small groups at Epiphany is that they become a place where we can take our lives; the good, the bad, and the ugly, and be loved into a place of transformation. This happens slowly and intentionally. It happens when we share our failures, and reflect upon our joys. Small groups are the place where Christian community is lived out, and lived into, as we form deeper relationships with one another and with God.
Many groups at Epiphany fulfill this role and function as small groups, such as the choir, study groups, and other task oriented groups, but what this is referring to is something even deeper. If you are interested in joining a small group, a group dedicated to sharing your spiritual story and exploring the Kingdom of God, contact The Rev. Kate Wesch for more information or to ask any questions.
