Yes, that’s right. There is a third creation story in Genesis! In December Tom Johnston launched a discussion series around the Genesis stories as seen through the lens of great literature. In the first discussion, the Fall was explored through Blake’s great epic Paradise Lost. Last month in the second installment, the story of Cain and Abel was seen through the lens of Steinbeck’s prodigal son masterpiece, East of Eden. Now, for this month, Tom will introduce you to the third creation story that covers the period between Cain and Noah with readings from the Iliad and The Silence of Girls by Pat Barker. There is a lot to unpack in just forty-five minutes, but it will be an eye-opener!
