June 1 Risk and Risk Tolerance
  Ed Love PhD
Congratulations to Ed (and Brooke) Love on the completion of the doctorates at the University of Washington!

Ed and Brooke have had a ministry with the youth of our parish for several years now and they are preparing to move to Bellingham for their first academic positions at the University of Western Washington. We will miss them dearly.

Ed will share some aspects of his doctoral research on risk and risk tolerance at the forum June 1. This intriguing subject matter has a relevance not only in the area of his study, economics, but also in many areas of our lives. This was evident recently when he presented this topic at the "Alchemists' Guild" of the Campus Ministries of the University of Washington. Don't miss this fascinating forum. Come and wish Ed and Brooke God Speed as well for their new life in Bellingham!

June 8 Sacred Attention: Finding God in the Moment
  Margaret McGee
Why is paying attention so hard to do? And what makes paying attention worth the practice? Margaret McGee uses the practices of contemplation, appreciation, and the sharing of real-life stories to show how even one moment of close attention can be a prayer to God. This forum focuses on attention to talents, hidden and otherwise.
June 15 Sacred Attention: Finding God in Relationship
  Margaret McGee

Her writing has appeared in such publications as Alive Now, Episcopal Life, and The Mercer Island Reporter.
