March 4, 11, 18, 25, and April 1 | 6:00 pm | Livestream
Evening Prayer on March 25 will feature a unique musical setting and prayers for church communicators, as we convene Epiphany’s communications ministry under the patronage of St. Gabriel the Archangel, the original “communicator” and messenger of God’s incarnate Word.
ABOUT THE MUSIC: Holden Evening Prayer is a service that was written in 1986 by Marty Haugen during his musical residency at Holden Village, an old mining camp at the north end of Lake Chelan. It has been transformed into an ecumenical retreat center by the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), a denomination that is in full communion with the Episcopal Church. Marty Haugen is a church musician who is well known for writing service music for the Lutheran and Catholic churches in the last 50 years.
