This session on Bach will briefly re-review his key biographical features including his theological background coupled with a general discussion of his massive musical compositional legacy as the father of the Baroque musical form. This session will also mention the role as mentor he played to multiple later classical musical composer, the likes of which now included Beethoven, Mozart, Chopin, Schubert, Mendelssohn to name only a few who were significantly instructed by his work.

Bach said music is the “emotional voice of the soul” and in this session, a focus will be placed on sacred music as a conveyor of sacred emotions.
