TEACH CHILDREN AT SUNDAY SCHOOL
We can always use more teachers and volunteers for our children’s programming on Sunday mornings. Teachers only need to be willing to give their energy and love on Sunday morning and their thought and prayer in advance of class. Teacher trainings will be offered in preparation for the year and as needed. Curriculum and materials are prepared in advance. Teachers are asked to commit to as much time as they are able, spanning from a few times a month, to a several week unit, to a more expansive period of time. Contact Elizabeth Walker if you’d like to help: email@example.com.
HANG OUT WITH THE YOUTH GROUP
This year youth group is splitting into two groups of middle-school and high-school students. That means there are two opportunities to hang out with the youth in our parish. One of the most important relationships teenagers can have is with an adult that is not one of their parents, so consider showing up to youth group on Sunday nights a couple times a month. Contact Laura Sargent at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Our Sunday morning +TEC Forums for adults are very often facilitated by parishioners who have knowledge of certain topics, theological training, or a passion for an issue. If you would like to be part of the group that plans and executes formation series, contact Todd Foster.
During certain times of the year as well as specific services, such as weekly Evening Prayer, parishioners are invited to share a homily with the congregation. There is a supportive mentoring process and feedback loop in place for people who are new to preaching. If you are interested in serving the congregation in this way, contact the Rev. Kate Wesch.
