A Master Story Teller Introduces Us to a Personal Christ
Presenter: Jonathan Roberts
Time: 9:15-10:15 am
Location: Great Hall
As any reader of The Chronicles of Narnia knows, C. S. Lewis tells a good story. Through these stories he reveals and explains the Christian themes of the nature and form of our relationship with Christ, redemption, forgiveness, the gradation of evil, and even the Apocalypse. C. S. Lewis is perhaps the greatest lay theologian of the twentieth century. He is certainly the most approachable. C. S. Lewis is also the one who has taught families about a personal Christ, and his work is a touchstone for understanding the big themes of the New Testament. Comments will draw chiefly from The Chronicles of Narnia, Mere Christianity, and The Screwtape Letters.
