The Triduum is the period of three days that begins the liturgy on the evening of Maundy Thursday (April 18), reaches its high in the Easter Vigil (April 20), and closes with evening prayer on Easter Sunday (April 21). The Triduum recalls the passion, death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus, as portrayed in the canonical Gospels. The events in the Holy Triduum, when taken together, compose the most important liturgy of the whole year. A special forum on this tradition will be presented by the Reverend Doyt L. Conn, Jr.
