New Hiking Group

Epiphany has a new Affinity Group! For all of you hiking enthusiasts, we are forming a group that will be hiking in and around our great Pacific Northwest. Length, difficulty, and frequency of hikes will be decided by the group. This is an excellent opportunity to get to know other people from Epiphany who share the love of hiking and to get in better shape (especially important if you will be joining one of the two walking pilgrimages in England next summer). Our first group hike is scheduled for June 9, 2018. We will meet at Epiphany at 8 am.

Depending on how many people decide to go, we may have to split into a couple of groups. On June 9, we will be going to Cougar Mountain in Newcastle. The hike will be between 5 and 8 miles with a moderate level of hiking difficulty. Maps will be provided. Following the hike, we will meet back at Epiphany for some group fellowship and to plan our next few hikes. Please bring information about your favorite hikes in the area. If you are interested in participating in the first hike, or are interested in being a part of the hiking group but cannot attend the first hike, please let me know (verger@epiphanyseattle.org).

Note: Our summer 2019 walking pilgrimages along St. Oswald’s Way in England is almost full. There are still five spots available on the second walk, which begins June 27. The first pilgrimage is full, with a waiting list. Details can be found in the Weekly Word dated April 27 (found on Epiphany’s website (epiphanyseattle.org) by clicking “Connect” and then “Newsletters” and finally “Weekly Word for April 27, 2018).
